The last weekend of August, that time of the year when summer (in a way) is slowly saying goodbye, but in your head you are not ready for it yet… And we won’t be either, so on Friday, August 30, we are organizing one such “strictly House” ” evening in at Hangar, backed by ️live Sax and ️ Percussion, to dance the last beats of summer away. We will sail in the waters of that old school, funky House, and in between we will surely add some modern remixes plus discoveries of this season. If you are one of those people whose heart skips a beat when you hear the words “House”, “Nostalgia”, “Sax” (or even “Ambasada Gavioli” ), and your feet automatically start jumping “from one to the other” in rhythm, then you don’t want to miss this event. The Trio Funk Affair invited DJ Paolo Barbato to our premiere b2b event, who knows exactly what feelings we are talking about and will undoubtedly conjure them up with us on the dance floor as well. Doors open at 8pm, so come early. ___

Paolo Barbato

Italian by blood but a true man of the world, Paolo is renowned as one of the pioneers and leaders of regional electronic music scene. He’s a regular at DJ Mag Top 100 clubs from Magazini Generali and Il Muretto to Peter Pan, he held residencies at Ambasada Gavioli and Byblos and did countless of gigs at big room and underground clubs, boat parties and festivals. He provides soundtracks for fashion shows and art exhibitions and he did a special limited edition compilation for the prestigious Illy Caffé brand. He was a resident at Pacha Sharm el Sheikh for two years, he’s regular in Ibiza, but since Croatia became the global party hotspots Paolo spends most of the summers at Croatian, Slovenian and Italian coast.
Being in the game since the 80s he has developed a great taste and waste knowledge of music, has a collection of classic house vinyl, but most of all he’s a great selector who knows exactly which track to drop at a certain point of the party to create the best energy on the dancefloor. “I am a dance DJ. I’m known as a house artist, but I don’t mind mixing techno or tech-house tracks in my sets if they fit in and makes people dance.” Last but not least, his passion for music is insatiable as he preserves that fresh and insatiable curiosity which pushes him to a constant search of those little music gems everyone is so keen to hear in his sets.
